PAB Annual Banquet
The Keynote speakers will be Ms. Alison Weir, President, Council for
the National Interest and Executive Director, If Americans Knew and
Mr. Nihad Awad, National Executive Director, Council on
American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). The entertainment section will be
performed by our established standup Comedian from Houston : Mr.
Mohammed "MO" Amer.
If you are interested in reserving a table (Platinum $10,000, Gold
$5,000 or Silver $2,500) or to advertise for your business during
the function to benefit the student scholarship fund (Dr. Ibrahim
Uwaydah Scholarship) or any other PAB projects (details will be
presented at the banquet event) as your "sadaqa jaria" and part of
your "zakat ul mal" or just to buy tickets, please call the phone

In the last 2 years, 16 Student scholarships (Dr. Uwaydah
Scholarship) were awarded by the Palestinian American Bridge
Organization (PAB) to outstanding Palestinian students in the
Houston Metropolitan Area. This year, and with your help and
contributions to the Scholarship Fund we are planning to increase
the number of scholarships.
Also, the Board of Directors has unanimously approved the UNRWA's
proposal to expand the scholarship program to include Palestine and
the Diaspora (Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, West Bank and Gaza) directly
through the UNRWA Fields in these countries.

February 19, 2011: PAB Annual Banquet

February 13, 2010: PAB Annual Banquet Event
The Palestinian American Bridge held its second
Annual Banquet Event on
February 13, 2010 at the Westin Galleria, 5060 West Alabama in
Houston, Texas.
The guest speaker was Mr. Andrew Whitley, Head of UNRWA
(United Nations Relief and Works Agency).
Mr. Whitley spoke about the current situation in the occupied Gaza
Strip and UNRWA's efforts to assist Palestinians.
The event also
included an update about the organization.
During the event, PAB raised money for
Dr. Uwaydah’s Scholarship, a new PAB
Scholarship for Palestinian Students.
More details about this scholarship will be posted on our website
soon.
August 15, 2009: Meeting with
Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney
Several board members and other PAB
members met with congresswoman Cynthia McKinney on August 15, 2009
in Houston, Texas and discusses various important topics.
During the meeting, PAB board members presented Congresswoman
McKinney with a Special Recognition Award
for being a champion and a strong voice for the Palestinian people
and for her courage and determination to break the siege on the Gaza
Strip.

The Palestinian American
Bridge organization received a notification from Dr. Mustafa
Barghouti's office on Monday, March 23rd
cancelling Dr. Barghouti's
scheduled trip to Houston because
of Dr. Barghouti's participation in the Palestinian National
Dialogue that is taking place in Cairo, Egypt.
As a result, the Palestinian American Bridge organization is
cancelling the March 27th Palestine Land Day event.

In Response
to the Israeli War on Gaza...
The Palestinian American Bridge organization has joined the
Houston Coalition for
Justice & Peace in Palestine which was formed immediately when
the Israeli War on Gaza began on December 27, 2008.
Numerous events have been organized by/or sponsored by the Houston
Coalition for Justice & Peace in Palestine, in which the Palestinian
American Bridge is a partner. For a list of these events,

Eid Al-Adha Luncheon
The Palestinian American Bridge organization would like to extend
its appreciation to its members for attending the International Day
of Solidarity with the Palestinian People held on November 22, 2008,
and for becoming a member of the organization.
As a member of PAB, you are cordially invited to attend a
complementary Eid Al-Adha luncheon on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 12
noon to be held at Funplex (The Grand Event!) located on 13700
Beechnut Street, Houston, TX 77083.
This event will include complementary lunch and new age classic
music (contemporary music) by composer Mahmoud Salha. We will also
have pizza and entertainment for the children to include face
painting and balloon twisters.
Please RSVP no later than 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 6 with the
exact number of adults and exact number of children that will be
attending the luncheon.
